About Me
Welcome! I'm Michelle Swann Young - an explorer, fellow journey-walker, woman and mother who has a life-long interest in personal and collective well-being. My formal education is in chemistry and geochemistry (BS Caltech, 2003), and I received my certification in Women's Wellness Education from the WellGrounded Institute in September 2019. I'm also in training (fall 2022) to be an Inner Field Trip certified facilitator with Leesa Renee Hall.

I believe... that our inner person is where everything we do, think and say originates, and it's crucial to nourish and attend to our selves in order to live our best lives and give our best gifts to ourselves, to those we love and to the world.
I believe... that the world needs more love, more grace, and more kindness, and if we want to be part of that, we must start with how we show up in relationship with ourselves.
I believe... the way we relate to others is a reflection of how we relate to ourselves, and vice versa – we can’t show up in our external relationships with the love, kindness and grace we want to bring if the way we relate to ourselves is hateful, judgmental and intolerant.
I believe... that the best way to create true, lasting, real life change is to start with curiosity and compassion. Shaming and rejecting ourselves when we make mistakes might motivate us for a few minutes to change our outward behavior, but ultimately it reinforces the belief that we’re not worthy of love and acceptance just as we are. And that keeps us from being able to truly love and accept others when they make mistakes and have shortcomings as well.
